Thread: PROPboards.com registration - now required

Just a quick update to let everyone know that, at least for the first few months, we'll be requiring registration to access the threads and the forums. The main reason for this is because we're such a new site, we really need guests to take the plunge and register so that they can easily jump into the conversation. By leaving the boards freely viewable the incentive to register is much reduced and the ability to converse requires the additional effort to register.

I'd also be interested to hear whether existing members feel that new member registrations should be moderated, for example to check that they've filled out the required information correctly and thus appear to have a serious interest in prop or arcade trading.

I don't think they should be moderated unless a problem manifests itself... ok we've had a couple of moronic threads but they were swiftly despatched.

And excluding all retail traders isn't a great idea. We only want the cream of the crop, for sure, but the good ones have useful insights
