Thread: Membership Milestones

As you know activity drives activity, so right now when the paint is still drying on the boards it's important to recognise and celebrate every small achievement.

So I'm pleased to announce we've supparsed the 50 member mark, our current total stands at 51 members, and we're averaging about 8 new members a day. Hopefully by this time next week we'll have doubled that.

As of today we've also got 12 followers on twitter; and 3 fans on facebook. Small, but it's a start - and we appreciate all the support we get!

One side-effect of our early growth has been the appearance of some spammers. The Dr and myself will remain vigilant but if you see anything please do report it so we get notified straight away. In the coming days we'll publish our first set of site principles; making it quite clear to everyone what's acceptable - then there'll be no excuses.

I'm wondering whether it would be a good idea to have the principles discussion in a public thread?

Some debate will probably be necessary. Also, because many users are probably not checking in every day we should probably take at least a week to hammer them out.

Sure arabian, I'll draft the principles then publish them in the community to give everyone a week or so to share their thoughts. I'm purposely going to keep them few and short.

Although it's going to take some good topics to spark active discussion, we're continuing to gather pace in terms of membership, and thats helped to achieve a record of 21 active members logged on the site yesterday.

The continued growth in members is thanks in part to our very targeted marketing efforts via trade2win, twitter, linkedin, facebook and google to target proprietary and arcade traders worldwide.

At this stage we welcome any participation in the boards than you can give - we're confident the community will grow to be an excellent resource.

Well my prediction from last week was spot on, we doubled the membership in the past week to hit the 100 members milestone. A record 14 new traders registered yesterday alone, and for the last three days running we've had 28 members logging in each day - the highest number since the site launched.

Just hit the 250 member milestone!
